Learning Support Educator
The Learning Support Educator (LSEd) is a key player to the success of the Development Support and Learning Support (DS-LS) Programme. A preschool teacher by training, the LSEd serves as a resource in the early childhood landscape by supporting preschool teachers and children with learning and developmental needs within the classroom setting. Some of the key responsibilities include:

Use prescribed screening tools to screen children referred by preschool teachers for learning and developmental issues

Present screening outcomes to Paediatricians and the therapy teams at Case Filter Meetings

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, caregivers and DS-LS professionals to provide support for children with mild developmental needs

Work out the individual education plan (IEP) for the DS-LS children

Support therapy teams by embedding the therapy goals into the classroom curriculum

Conduct intervention through support packages to DS-LS children

Provide in-class support to children who have received intervention packages

Ensure goals set are achieved during sessions with the DS-LS children and are generalised into the classroom

Complete End-of-Intervention (EOI) report at closure of case
Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education

At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position

Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS) preferred

Experience in EIPIC or Special Education setting an added advantage

Possess excellent interpersonal skills

Must have initiative and ability to work independently and yet be a good team player

An organised and systematic worker

Singaporean or PR preferred
