Teacher's Day Dedication Service 2024: Feed My Lambs

The 6th Teacher’s Day dedication service, themed "Feed My Lambs," was held at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Saturday, 24th August 2024. Organized by the Christian Preschool Alliance, the event gathered more than 300 teaching and support staff from 90 preschools and churches across Singapore.

The service was a poignant reminder of the calling in early childhood education, emphasizing that the work done by educators is not just a job but a duty. It highlighted the importance of nurturing, teaching, and guiding children with Christ-like love in their formative years. Everyone was reminded of their crucial role in shaping the hearts, minds, and spirits of the children entrusted to their care. Through daily interactions, educators are called to model the love of Christ, ensuring that every child in their midst feels valued and loved.

It was also emphasised the significance of relying on God's grace and mercy in our daily interactions with the children. As educators, it is through God's grace that we can extend grace to the children in our care, teaching them with patience, love, and understanding. The importance of forgiveness and trust in Christ was highlighted, reminding everyone that we need to forgive ourselves and others, trusting in God's plan. We were encouraged to be outward-looking, focusing on the needs of the children and those around us, rather than being inwardly focused.

By looking to God each day for new strengths and mercies, we can continue to serve with renewed purpose and compassion, knowing that He sustains us in this vital calling. Happy Teacher's Day!
