Previously, I felt like I was a singular pen with just one colour, but I now feel like I have upgraded to a multicoloured pen! This is because I am part of a team that brings different colours and talents to the table.
Each pen also has a spring, so we are able to launch forward to write our story together as we collaborate, instead of focusing only on our own narratives. I have learnt to meet the staff, parents and children where they are. However, not everyone is always receptive and I will retract instead of pushing forward, and find other ways to reach out.
